Xinzhou Mansion, Shanghai

Xinzhou Mansion is a landmark building ‘elevated’ over a vacant plot within Shanghai city.  Drees & Sommer worked together with gmp architects to create a vision for the site as a new welcoming gateway into the adjacent large public park. The unitized façade is constructed as a state-of-the-art back-ventilated double skin facade system with a strong horizontal accentuation.

Additional value

FD simulation software was used to optimize the cavity air flow and also the overhang of louvres was adjusted to reach the best shading results possible.
